Rally for fair funding, fair treatment and formal recognition of local government

More than 600 local government representatives from across the country will rally at 12.30pm on Tuesday November 8 at the National Convention Centre, Constitution Avenue, in Canberra.
The rally will call for fair federal funding for local government, fair treatment of councils by state and federal governments, an end to cost shifting, and formal recognition of local government in the Australian Constitution.
The rally will take place during the National General Assembly of Local Government, being held in Canberra from 7-10 November.
