About the AGEINGforum discussion list

ALGA has set up an email discussion list - AGEINGforum - for people with an interest in the Planning for an ageing community project. It is administered by Alley Peck, ALGA's Assistant Director Health and Ageing Policy. You can trawl through the archives but you'll need to subscribe yourself to post to the list.

What's a discussion list when it's at home?

Discussion lists allow you to exchange email with an exclusive group of people(subscribers). When you send an email to the discussion list, all the subscribers receive it. Simarlarly any of those subscribers can send email to the list in reply, thus beginning a discussion in which all subscribers can participate. When a new subject or topic for discission is started, it is called a thread.

All the emails that get sent to the discussion list get copied to the archive, where anyone can view them.

To stop receiving a discussion list, you have to unsubscribe from it. AGEINGforum will send you information on how to do this when you subscribe.
