2003 National Local Roads Congress

Invitation to sponsor or exhibit

On behalf of the Australian Local Government Association it is my great pleasure to extend to you an invitation to participate in the 2003 National Local Roads Congress in Kalgoorlie, WA. Great sponsorship and exhibition opportunities exist for companies, agencies, departments and organisations to promote their services, products and image generally at the 2003 National Local Roads Congress.

The Congress is the most important event on the local roads calendar, bringing together over 300 delegates from across Australia.

Supporting the management and maintenance of Australia's 640,000 km local roads network, this year's Congress will provide and discuss essential information on a wide range of local roads issues, including policy, road use, maintenance and funding. AusLink and its implications for local government will also be a major topic.

In accordance with the tradition of the past three annual National Local Road Congresses, the Congress Organising Committee has formulated an exciting and innovative program. The setting for this year's Congress has been chosen for its centrality, its accessibility and its importance as the hub for mining and transport into and out of Western Australia. The City of Kalgoorlie is looking forward to showing off its history and famous hospitality.

The Congress sessions, exhibition and networking opportunities will appeal to everyone from Local Government to policy makers, from field practitioners to industrial suppliers.

I look forward to providing mutually rewarding sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for you at the 2003 National Local Roads Congress in Kalgoorlie from 29 June to 1 July 2003.

Ian Chalmers
Chief Executive
